I'm baaack! Well, for a couple of reviews anyway. Since dipping my toes into DIY I haven't had the opportunity to try new commercial juices to review. But I decided to try a couple of new juices thanks to a giveaway and coming in 4th in the ECR poker tournament. Battered Drop is what I picked up with the tourney winnings.
I love lemon bakery foods. I could eat lemon cake and lemon poppy seed muffins every day if it wouldn't be a surefire way to gain weight. Battered Drop is a very well-done vanilla cupcake with lemon icing. When I cracked the juice open I had actually forgot what I had ordered. When I first took a drag on it I was immediately surprised and my initial thought was lemon cake. After a few drags the whole profile really begins to come together. A nice, fluffy vanilla cupcake topped with a sweet, sugary lemon frosting. My primary complaint is the lemon from the frosting gets a little too "zesty" at the very end of the exhale. It's hard to describe but if you've ever tasted lemon zest before you know what I'm talking about. However, this is common in almost every lemon forward juice I've tried... including the DIY I make. It's not noticeable enough to knock down the rating much and it's still worth trying, but it's there if you are looking for it.
Overall, despite the minor knock, I'm very satisfied with how well this vapes and it is something if I had the recipe to I'd vape all the time.
