So I was at my first convention, Vaper Slam in Charlotte this year. I avoided the stage because the crowd seemed more rowdy than what I wanted to be in. Freebies were being tossed, but I enjoyed the booths while people were amused elsewhere. However, at the end of the day I stepped into the mob to see if I would get a goody. For some reason, the vape model on stage looked right at me and tossed a bottle my way. I reached out to grab it only to have the guy in front of me snag it on its way down. Surprisingly he turned to me and said "I saw she was aiming for you, so this is yours" and handed it to me. I was really kind of shocked. I thanked the young man (sorry I am an old fart so get off my lawn) and checked out what I had. It was a bottle of something from someone I had never heard of. Honestly that delighted me as I like to try things on the random.
So I have been using Waterberry Crush off and on for the last 2 months. I actually went on a trip halfway across the country and brought my original vape kit (MVP20W and Nautilus) to minimize my packing for air travel. The one juice I packed was Waterberry because it was 3mg and I normally vape 1 or 0. So my review is based not only upon my normal use with my IPV3LI and both my Aromamizer RDTA and Velocity, but also my MVP20W and my Nautilus.
When I smell the bottle, it has the smell of watermelon bubble gum. In all three units the inhale is a watermelon flavor that is not candy but at the same time not truly natural. It has a watermelon like flavor that also has a bit of rind flavor as well. The inhale also carries a bit of a berry tone in the background but it is very faint compared to the watermelon mixture. In all 3 setups there is also a light sweetness with a little watermelon and a not so naturally obnoxious watermelon rind flavor that settles on the tongue. The exhale is where the difference comes between the setups.
On my Aromamizer my exhale starts with a kind of rind like flavor that quickly is replaced with an almost raspberry and blueberry mixture that has an almost protein powder like exhale. Very much like an actual true to nature health food smoothie. The protein powder flavor lingers on the tongue afterwards. Now I am not saying it is powdery tasting, however if you have ever mixed protein powder into any form of drink you will know that flavor that I am talking about.
On my Velocity the profile is very similar. However I feel like I pick up notes of acai as well in the exhale. The protein powder flavor holds off a little longer as well.
In my ancient little Nautilus, the acai and protein powder flavors completely disappear. My exhale is a mixture of raspberry and blueberry with more of a blueberry exhale.
On both my Aromamizer and my Velocity I enjoyed the wattage at about 65. Much higher and the watermelon rind took over and the blueberry became distorted and somewhat distasteful as an aftertaste. In my Nautilus there wasn't much difference, however there is only so much power that you can use on those coils.
