I'm drawn to weird flavors and this one has weird flavor written all over it. Hibiscus Cotton Candy. So basically flower flavored sugar? I've been a fan of floral teas with hibiscus so why not give it a try I thought.
Well, glad I did because I like it. I bought this juice a while back and haven't had a chance to try it until now so this is a "very steeped" review only.
Trivial stuff first. The bottle (15mL in my case) is nicely sealed with a full bottle tamper proof seal. The dropper works really well (sadly I have noticed this because some brands don't) and the label is good looking, almost looks like cloth bandaid so I'm sure it'd stand up to a spill or wet hands.
On to the more meaningful stuff. Upon opening the bottle I get a sweet floral blast that's undeniably cotton candy. I have no idea what flavor makes cotton candy taste like cotton candy but this smells like CC tastes. Maybe it's just the power of suggestion and that's just "sweet". The Hibiscus doesn't play as large of a role in the smell from the bottle. Loaded up on fresh cotton in a Billow V2 the floral comes alive. I find that this juice rivals Adirondack Placid in terms of floral taste but the Hibiscus flavor is more more a little more sour/tart than the Honeysuckle in Placid. The sweetness of the cotton candy comes through also but it's not quite as "clearly cotton candy" when compared to smelling the juice. It's a good balance though.
If you like Placid, give this one a shot. They are like cousins in the ejuices world. I'll give a slight edge to Placid but this is a very good juice too and I'll recommend it.
