This has been steeping since November so I have a well aged bottle here. I remember trying Duchess Reserve and the booth rep having to kind of pry the sample device out of my hands. It was incredibly good. Duchess is quite good as well and IMO one of the B&M distributed flavors worth picking up.
While it is really good, it’s not quite Tres Leches. It’s a complex blend of rich cream flavors. Definitely more rich than typical Tres Leches which is just a mix of 3 milks. Duchess tastes like a mix of caramel and heavy creams. There is a strong buttery richness that accompanies it along with a hazelnut flavor. It’s close to the same league as a custard without the dark flavors. I don’t usually gravitate towards creamy flavors without anything added but this one is very enjoyable.
