Fresh Review - This is a really good mix. Just a bit sweeter than I expected, but I’ve grown accustomed to lime juices that rip your face off with citrus. There’s a place and a time for that, but this juice isn’t one of those. You definitely get the lime flavor in this, especially so in the exhale, but it’s not a sour lime and I don’t even think I’d go so far as to call this a citrusy juice. I would say this is way more focused on the pear. It’s delicious and sweet, and the pear is very present in the inhale and early exhale. At about the midpoint of the exhale the lime takes over and becomes the dominant flavor of the finish, though I feel like I’m still getting the sweetness of the pear. I’ve seen it described as a limeade-like flavor in other reviews, and while I agree that some of the elements are there, I find this to be a bit sweeter than most limeades I’ve had. Just a really good mix that surprises me as a big fan of lime juices. Very refreshing, and a very different approach than I am used to. This juice would be really good in the summer. I’m interested to see what this tastes like in a month, as I know lime tends to fade over time.
Aged Review - This has really changed a lot, and in a way that I would have never expected. I feel like I am actually getting a lot more lime on an aged bottle than I was on the fresh bottle, and that’s just mind boggling to me. In almost every citrus juice I’ve tried previously the citrus aspect is strongest right away and fades over time. In this one, the pear was dominant as far as the taste goes when the bottle was fresh, now it’s closer to an even mix for me. I still get mostly sweet pear on the inhale, but the lime has started to creep in near the finish of the inhale. The exhale has morphed a lot for me, and where this was a nice mix of pear and lime previously, I’m getting almost singularly lime now. I say almost because I can tell that the pear is still there because it cuts most of the citrus bite out of the lime, but leaves behind the delicious flavor. This is still an A+ juice. My score doesn’t change between an aged and fresh bottle, because they are both awesomely tasty, but very different. This is a great juice, and highly recommended.
