I had the incredible good luck to win 30ml (6mg nicotine) of this and another flavor (Eureka) by Feghali Vapors in a giveaway, but it bears mentioning that I was a very newly-quit former smoker, and didn't have the greatest setup to premiere this one on. Not ideal conditions to taste a juice for the first time.
Nonetheless, even that first glimpse, though extremely fleeting, was wonderful. I tasted it fresh from the mail, and, although it was subtle to the point of disappearing on me, my husband (who has never smoked and doesn't vape) immediately commented on the delicious smell, likening it to cake batter.
I put it away in a dark, cool cabinet for a little over two weeks, shaked it lovingly every day, and looked forward to the arrival of my new setup to try it again, which was a little gift to myself for 30 days cigarette-free.
Now that I've had a chance to test it out on proper equipment, with a vastly improved olfactory sense, I can honestly say that it is an exceptional juice. 7.0 watts seems to be ideal for this one. Going much lower makes it a phantom, and any higher burns it to a crisp. It's as delicate as butterfly wings, which is one of the things, in my opinion, that makes it great. People complain all the time that dessert vapes are too sweet/heavy to be ADVs, but, this one might be an exception.
The first whiff is custard, but, not a super eggy, heavy custard, and there is definitely a vanilla note in there. The exhale is pure caramel and brown sugar, which is more or less the same note, but there also seems to be a little butterscotch in there. Might be the custard inhale riding the caramel/brown sugar exhale, lending it a buttery note, either way, it's delicious. Also, it's sweet but not too sweet, coming off as more of a salted caramel flavor than just the straight, cloying sweetness of caramel.
In short, I love it. I really, really do. Once I've finished this tank, though, I'm going to switch to something else in my “dessert” tank, then go back to it at a later date, because this is so incredibly subtle to me. Like, subtle to a fault. This is assuredly due to my still-healing tastebuds. I'm stuck in the rut of wanting to be 'effed-in-the-face with flavor.
This is definitely a juice for those that sub-ohm, and those that consider dessert vapes “too much”. The subtlety of this flavor is easily one of its strengths. A nice, delicately complex flavor with a light, but present throat-hit that doesn't assault you with sweetners. Nicely done, Feghali Vapors.
