Picked this up on my first order from Cloudberry, and to be completely honest, I'm not 100% sure why. In retrospect from the product description I would assume this was another strawberry custard flavor with a hint of dragon fruit to make it somewhat different.
Yeah no. It's nothing like that, at least not to me. What it is to me has kept me from writing a review, because I'm just somewhat at a loss for words as to how to describe this. But here I am towards the end of the bottle and so I'm forcing myself to give it a shot ;)
To be completely honest, if the product description did not list vanilla custard in this, I'm not 100% sure I'd ever have guessed that. Vanilla is typically something I can pick out, as is custard and here it's extremely light, seriously almost undetectable for me. There is a very soft cream here throughout but the predominant flavor here is the dragon fruit.
I've had a few other dragon fruit flavors and they didn't do much for me, but this is quite eye-opening. The strawberry comes through on the inhale and provides a nice sweetness that fades into the more exotic dragon fruit. The exhale for me is almost entirely dragon fruit, with a very soft cream, and also something that resembles spice. It's subtle, but there on my tongue, maybe not spice, but some kind of bite. It's not carbonation, but I guess something similar.
The fruits are fantastic, just so very natural and tasty, and I found myself drawn to this one. It's subtly complex and kind of mysterious. Different than anything else I've tried, different than I expected, and in that light I was even more intrigued with it. Very gourmet tasting.
The flavor intensity here is a 5 out of 10, though it sometimes feels softer / lower than that, but it's just in how it vapes, the flavor is all there and it's wonderful.
A sweet, natural and exotic blend, and by far the best dragon fruit I've had. There is a very slight dryness at the end but I'd really urge people to try this one. It's high quality and more enjoyable than you might expect. If you are thinking that this is a strawberry custard you might not enjoy it as much, but if you can appreciate this for what it is, which I urge you to do, it's a very compelling and well-done flavor.
While the name makes more sense now, it is more than just a straight dragon fruit flavor. The strawberry adds a great deal to this, as does the slight creaminess. I think they should call it Moonflower instead :) That aside, I'm very impressed with this and glad I ordered it.
