Ever since I started vaping I’ve longed for a cherry tobacco. Not dark cherry, but bright sweet cherry. Like a cheap gas station cigar sort of deal. I gave up on this dream a long time ago. Cherry is just too hard to work with and not done well by almost anyone who uses it. But then I discovered Kelso and saw sweet maraschino cherry in the CherryBac description.
The cherry here is very good. It doesn't taste like cough syrup and it isn’t dark cherry. It’s not quite as lively of a maraschino cherry as I had hoped. Maraschino cherry has more of a candy-like cherry flavor and sweetness. At the end of the cherry flavor it tastes a little more like regular red cherry than maraschino. Really a minor grievance when you consider how awful most cherry flavors are. Following the cherry is a nice dark tobacco flavor. It’s darker than cigarette tobacco but still a far cry from pipe tobacco or similar dark earthy tobaccos. It also doesn’t have that grassy cigar flavoring a lot of people seem to use. The tobacco flavors they used work really well here. They definitely work great with the natural cherry flavor I pick up at the end. I don’t really pick up any creaminess but they mention, maybe just a touch.
I think this is the best it’s going to get on my search and I am happy to say this is very good. Kelso came far closer than anyone else on my journey for this flavor. It’s not quite as light or sweet as I had envisioned all this time. Regardless, really damn good and you’ll just have to trust me, if you want a cherry tobacco that isn’t dark cherry, this is it. Don’t waste your time anywhere else.
