Beignet’s are a special treat you don't come by too often. I miss the beignet shop that used to be close to my work ages ago. Outside of New Orleans I'm not sure how known the beignet is. If i stretch i could say they're kind of similar to donuts and funnel cake. Down south I'd compare them to sopapillas but with more dough inside and no cinnamon.

CCC never ceases to impress and Ben-yay definitely fits that mold. The dough part of Ben-yay is spot on. There is a yeasty dough flavor with a touch of sweetness and vanilla up front. It's rich but buttery smooth at the same time. In the middle I can almost taste the crispy, warm, and slightly oily edges of the beignet. Finishing it off is a touch of powdered sugar flavor that hits all the right marks without being over the top sweet. While not quite the same as funnel cake, this is closer than any funnel cake flavor I've tried. It's beignet though, and for beignet I doubt you'd find more spot on. This goes on the reorder list for sure. It's not a complex flavor but it's a very well done one.

I think I consider myself a beignet snob, I've had many real ones...all the way from crappy pistolettes just fried and covered in powdered sugar, to the delicious ones of Cafe du Monde in the French Quarter. CCC is based in New Orleans, so I'm positive they have had some really great ones.

The inhale is a rich, deep, dough like flavor. It's sweet and does have a classic beignet taste to it with just a smidgen of vanilla. The exhale is the same, however there is a nice powdered sugar flavor to it towards the end. I actually get the powdered sugar feel as well. Beignets have a much denser dough than that of a traditional donut and I feel CCC brought that out in this juice. I wish everyone would be able to try beignets, they are not like our regular donuts, they are magical. Am I obsessed with this deep fried pastry? Most likely.

If you want to get a glimpse of a real beignet...without the mess (they are messy, especially on a windy day!) Then try this juice out, its very good.

I have to admit, I tried this fresh and did not care for it. It had an overwhelming like raw dough flavor. However, I did not give up and let it steep for a week. It transformed into something marvelous. 100 times better than fresh. Bear that in mind.

I've been to New Orleans and of course swung by Cafe du Monde for their famous beignets and chicory coffee. I've even made my own beignets at home as they are quite a treat. They are basically little triangle pockets of dough that are deep fried and then covered in powdered sugar, very light, chewy warm sugary goodness.

I think it's great that CCC made a flavor like this, it just seems to fit.

And it is definitely the best beignet flavor I've tried. It's simple, but it works. The start of the exhale brings the baked doughy taste and the end of the exhale is all powdered sugar. I typically don't care too much for sugared vapes, but this is true to form and it's not overdone. It's very good and is captures the taste of powdered sugar surprisingly well.

The dough part is close, but not perfect. It's a nice flavor but just doesn't quite get that deep fried sort of flavor down pat in my opinion. This also vapes just a bit lighter than I'd expect. Lighter as in density, richness. It's not as rich as it could be, which isn't necessarily a negative more than just an opinion.

The flavor intensity here is a 5 or 6 out of 10, it's not heavy and not overdone so I'd think you could vape this one for extended periods. I was afraid it would be too sugary and it's just right.

Good stuff, if you are interested in this flavor profile you can't go wrong with this.
