Peanut butter in vape form is very hit or miss, mostly miss, for me. Coconut is almost very much a miss for me in vape form. So I was definitely apprehensive when I ordered Elixir 08, but it was suggested to me, the reviews were good, and I like trying and reviewing new things and stepping out of my comfort zone to do so. I decided what the heck, why not, I'll go for it, and I went for it. I'm glad I gave Elixir 08 a shot, because it's peanut butter and coconut done right.
The peanut butter is the main flavor in the profile. It's a nice balance of sweet, rich, creamy, and earthy. It's likely the best peanut butter flavor I've had in a vape. The marshmallow and almond milk is light, yet hits the tastebuds at the front of the vape all the way through the inhale and the exhale. The almond milk is a little stronger than the marshmallow but it's nicely balanced between the two. Both add a nice sweetness and creaminess, without going overboard. The toasted coconut adds an additional touch of earthiness and bitterness that really compliment everything else going on in Elixir 08. There are lots of interesting and complex notes that I'd normally not seek out in vape form, because Elixir 08's profile is difficult to get right for me. But Apothecary has done a wonderful job making every note fit very nicely together throughout the entirety of the vape. Overall, the entire profile is fantastic and I could easily see Elixir 08 being an ADV for someone who enjoys a nice peanut butter and coconut vape. And even if you don't, it's still a very, very good vape. It's definitely something I'll enjoy throwing in my tank from time to time.
