Prickleberry Lemonade is Walter’s new twist on one of our original flavors. This refreshing and tangy flavor is a blend of lemonade with just enough cactus to tease the palate, as well as a blueberry (more...)

I picked up this flavor completely on a whim. I wanted to try some commercial lemonade juices and the combination of pear and blueberry mixed in sounded quite good. The scent of the bottle is lemonade and some pear in the backdrop.

The inhale is a wonderful lemonade made with real lemons that has a nice tartness to it. Sweetened to the right level without that artificial sweetener flavor and hints of the cactus flavor intermingling on the top notes of the lemonade. Before I exhale the tartness rolls around on my tongue. The exhale brings the cactus more forward without going over the top and tasting like aloe like it can. I can taste the darkness of the blueberry on the back of my tongue while the pear builds up a little adding an earthiness to the flavor. The whole thing is wonderfully done and definitely going to be at the top of my summer rotation.

The juice works well across wattage settings. At the low end it feels a touch juicier than higher settings. At the high end, the pear and blueberry seem to weaken a touch. I stick in the middle for the best overall balance.

Prickleberry Lemonade had my interest piqued the moment Bird announced it. I mean cactus lemonade with pear and blueberry, sign me up! It's a really unique take on lemonade that truly works quite well. The lemonade is the star of the show, but the supporting cast of flavors is what really makes this juice something special. The lemonade is smooth and clean tasting with a nice lemon tartness and a touch of sweetness. It's akin to a quality fresh squeezed lemonade as opposed to the more sugary sweet artificially flavored junk. There is a very natural lemon flavor going on here. The cactus adds a lovely, slightly floral sweetness that compliments the lemonade beautifully. The pear and blueberry flavors are less prominent, but they still play a role in elevating this juice. The pear adds some juiciness and combines with the blueberry to create a great finish. Both flavors taste fresh and natural and make prefect accents to the lemonade. The overall flavor intensity is right around mid range and the sweetness is on the milder side. It's very smooth with a mild throat hit, especially for a lemon based juice. The inhale is mainly lemonade backed by cactus. It has a great tang along with a mild sweetness and floral undertones. I get hints of juicy pear that carries a slight earthiness on the backend. The exhale is still predominantly cactus tinged lemonade, but the pear begins to intermingle midway and is joined by blueberry shortly after creating a sort of fruity/berry lemonade finish. I'm left with deliciously tangy sweet combination of lemonade, blueberry and cactus left clinging to my palate.

Overall, Prickleberry Lemonade is a rather unique and satisfying experience. It's one of the better lemonade juices I've had. The thought and craftsmanship put into mixing this is apparent. I'd never have thought to combine cactus and lemonade, and I'm sure glad Bird did. They make a great pair and the pear and blueberry serve to heighten the mix even more. I want to have this as an actual beverage, but for now I'm more than content vaping this wonderful concoction.

Prickleberry Lemonade is something entirely different, refreshing, and quite tasty. It's a delicious lemonade, with a bright cactus undertone and notes of pear and blueberry. The lemonade flavor in PL does not taste like the store bought lemonade that's often overly sugary, but it's more reminiscent of a freshly squeezed lemonade--lemons, naturally both sweet and tart bringing a fantastic combination of mild bitterness, tartness, and sweetness. The cactus is juicy and flavorful while adding that something else that is often missing from other lemonades and brings a bit of it's own sweetness into the mix. The pear and blueberry are hanging out in the background, but certainly not to be missed. I'm getting a little bit more of the blueberry than the pear, but the combination of them both add a nice touch of fruity complexity that otherwise might be missing.

I've been vaping Prickleberry Lemonade for the last two days now and I'm really thinking it may earn its way into my rotation occasionally. I can see it definitely becoming a regular summer juice for me. I won't say Prickleberry Lemonade is my favorite lemonade based juice, as that belongs to another juice, but it gives that juice a run for its money--especially with it's unique taste. Bird's Prickleberry Lemonade is something entirely unique and that's what I love about it. It's completely refreshing while daring to be different--and tastes good while doing so. Fantastic!
