Nana's Nut Bread should probably lose the 'Nana' part of its name if it’s supposed to denote banana flavor. I honestly cannot find anything more than the faintest hint of banana in this juice. What I do find is something more like a cinnamon bread pudding with walnuts. Occasionally I catch a hint of something resembling the caramelized banana that is supposed to be present, but it is muted and light. And maybe that’s because the overall flavor of this juice is muted and light. There just really isn’t all that much flavor going for it. It’s mostly a bready cinnamon flavor that is somewhat creamy and backed with walnut. The cinnamon is somewhat dry and and not very potent, but again nothing in this juice is. There is a mild sweetness that is sort of custard-like and gives off a bit of creaminess. The walnut is earthy and nutty and tastes similar to its real life counterpart. The overall flavor intensity leans heavily to the light side of the spectrum. On the inhale I get a fairly dry cinnamon bread up front. There is a mildly creamy custard that comes in midway that cuts the dryness and adds a bit of sweetness on the backend. Occasionally I get a faint hint of banana on the backend as well. The exhale has a light cinnamon custard followed by earthy walnut. I’m left with a dry, faint cinnamon taste.
Overall, Nana's Nut Bread just doesn’t live up to its name. It comes off to me as a cinnamon bread pudding with walnuts. There’s really no banana to be found. It wasn’t there fresh and it’s not there after steeping either. It would be more suiting if it’s official description was the one attributed to it here on JuiceDB. But their website claims it as a “banana bread topped with caramelized bananas and walnuts” and I certainly don’t get that out of it. If it had a boost in flavor it wouldn’t be a half bad bread pudding juice. As it stands, it either needs a name/description change or some banana in it.
