Few vendors will I take a gamble on to order their new flavors but Kite in Cloud is something special. I put my faith in KiC and their uniqueness. They founded a business on one flavor and kept that until they were forced otherwise. Don’t be concerned that they pushed out incomplete flavors though because so far they seem to be anything but.

Cord Du Roi was one that immediately piqued my interest. Since Cloud Alchemist and 2ohm6 released flavors with cardamom I’ve been in love with it. It’s kind of hard to describe but it reminds me of an earthy cinnamon without that cinnamon burn. It’s unique and perfectly executed here. Cardamom is the most dominant flavor with obviously no complaints from me. I can’t say much other than it’s spot on. I get an almost slightly cool touch from it. A type of earthy cool similar to an actual spice but a cool that’s only slightly detected in the nose but not the mouth or chest. In the background is a deep creamy malt flavor. I expected the peanut butter and cardamom to be battling it out here but the peanut butter is somehow the most subtle flavor. It’s a supplementary flavor to the malt. I only get a slight roasted nutty flavor but I imagine the peanut butter is actually playing a large role in the creaminess I get in the background with the malt. I’m rather happy the peanut butter is so well done because very few are or are enjoyable to me.

True to KiC’s reputation this flavor is entirely unique and entirely awesome. Just a phenomenally unique and delicious flavor. No complaints, nothing I’d change, it’s just excellence. I’m in love.

Cardamom custard buns with a malted peanut butter glaze? Sign me up! A unique blend of flavors such as this coming from KiC sounds like a must have and I am glad to have gotten a bottle with them constantly being sold out. The scent of the bottle is primarily cardamom with traces of bakery, peanut butter and malt.

On the inhale you get cardamom, a spiced earthy flavor that is hard to describe to those who haven't tasted it. The best I can say is it has notes similar to ginger, the sweetness of grapefruit, an almost menthol like (but extremely light) cooling undertone with a light floral note to it. Before I exhale there is a light and sweet nutty tone that joins in. The exhale is more cardamom with a decently thick custard tone with a slight bakery type note. The custard had more of an eggy taste to it when I first opened it, but has subsided a lot in the week it has been open. Deep underneath is a sweet and awesome peanut butter glaze, but you really have to pay attention for it to not be lost in the blend. Hints of malt are splattered throughout the exhale and linger on the tongue after you are done with the cardamom.

This juice is really good, but a little too much for me to be an ADV. The flavors work well with medium and high wattage settings. With lower settings a lot of the nuances of the juice just disappear.

I'm not totally sure what cardamom tastes like, and I'm not sure I do even after trying this. I was afraid it would be too spicy for my liking, but I really don't get much spice out of this. For me the prominent flavors are a light bakery note with a smooth savory peanut butter that is just slightly sweet. Overall this is more of a savory juice to me, which is a nice change from all the very sweet flavors out there. I had been looking for something good with peanut butter in it and this fits the bill.
