Another flavor-quest from Bird.
This is a savory flavor with a subtle rush of sweet raspberry jam. There’s a nuttiness from the sesame that’s reminiscent of amarguinha (a Portuguese almond liqueur), a fried dough element that’s on the mellow side, and a succulent raspberry filling. All of the elements in this liquid play off of each other wonderfully. This juice has a subtly to it, and definitely tastes best in a flavor-focused build in an RDA or an RDTA.
At high wattage, the fried dough flavor becomes more prominent on the inhale. It’s a flaky pastry dough that isn’t overly fried or oily like a lot of “fried dough” liquids. The earthy nuttiness of the sesame seeds becomes less sweet and the raspberry jam starts to taste more tart and less syrupy. There’s also an understated sweet dryness that creeps up at times when vaping this liquid: possibly powdered sugar.
At lower wattage, things start to calm down a bit and sweet nuttiness takes a back seat to raspberry jam. The flavors themselves are very realistic in an eerily familiar way. I’ve definitely tasted all of the elements in this juice before, but never in this combination.
Overall, this is an enticing liquid, and it’s a compelling experiment from Bird. I can see it becoming an ADV for people who love dessert vapes with savory and fruity/jammy elements to them. It’s not an overly intense experience, which is welcome considering most dessert vapes tend to be flavor bombs loaded with sweetener and flavorings. Bird perfectly nails the balance of nuttiness, doughiness, and syrupy goodness with Sesame Balls.
The cloud production on this is perfect, the throat hit is velvety, and the flavor delivery is exactly where it needs to be for a complex and unique flavor profile such as this.
The juice isn’t gunky at all and runs very clean on all of my set ups, as is the case for all of the Bird liquids I’ve tried.
