Foreward: I vape menthol juice MTL. I smoked menthol cigarettes for 20 years. I don't DTL menthol juice like I never smoked menthol cigarettes, DTL. I like my menthol strong.. too strong to DTL.
Elixir M is a good spearmint juice. I found the menthol to be seriously lacking, though, for my personal tastes. Its menthol was weak enough that I could DTL it and just barely feel a tingle in my throat and mouth. When I put a dollop on my finger and taste it with my tongue, I do feel the cold sensation of menthol in my mouth.. but that didn't translate to vaping it.
MTL, it was more like Wrigley's Spearmint gum.. without the gum flavor. The flavor was nice, but I really need more cold to feel like I'm MTLing a cigarette.. which is why I MTL menthol juice: to curb my smoking cravings. I'd rate the menthol strength of this juice below Marlboro Mild menthol cigarettes, which were already not menthol-ly enough for my tastes.
Don't get me wrong, though, I do like the flavor of this juice, I just like my menthol much colder.
I ended up mixing my bottle with my brick-and-mortar store's menthol juice, 1 to 1. Their juice has a lot of menthol in it. It's so strong, I've had a few bottles crystallize on me and turn into menthol jelly.. and I buy 50PG/50VG menthol from them, so it's pretty strong. (Menthol doesn't like VG. The more VG and menthol in the juice, the more likely it will crystallize. That happening at 50%PG means it's as menthol-ly as you can physically make juice.) Their juice, however, doesn't have much flavor to it. After mixing, I now have two bottles of decently strong menthol that have a nice peppermint-spearmint flavor to them.
If I did buy more Elixir M, it would be to mix with more of my B&M's menthol and recreate the menthol that I have. I do prefer this mixture to either of the two juices, solo.
