Lemon sandwich cookies. Yum! I don't quite get the ice but it might be my rig. I tried a few different wattages and messed with the airflow to see if I could get the cool note to pop. Not yet, but it's OK. Even what I'm getting with the sandwich cookie flavor is fantastic. I would order this again for sure but TBH I like to switch up the flavors so much that it might be a while before I get back to this.
I picked this flavor because I like to alternate between creamy rich juices and those with more acidity. I like a floral component like lavender and rose in both. So a juice with the acidity of lemon, the sweet tang of raspberry, and the gentle floral essence of jasmine is a perfect fit for me.
The jasmine is definitely there but not too forward, and I like the rounded sweet aspect of meyer lemon, I think it is a better fit than a traditional lemon flavor. The raspberry doesn't get lost. I will order this in a 60ml in the future.
Ordered this on a whim while browsing through Chef Oren's Newest Flavors on The Vape Kitchen's website. The description says: Fresh notes of blackberry and cassis transform absinthe from licorice into something unique and special. The medicinal and sometimes unfavorable characteristics of absinthe are negated creating a smooth and delightfully creamy vape. Try it!!
So I tried it. I'm very pleased with this. The blackberry is there, with both sweetness and tartness. I get the cassis. The herbaceous punch of absinthe is muted in this flavor. I can't pick it out, but the berry is definitely enhanced by its presence. It's kind of like adding a pinch of minced parsley to a savory dish: you don't taste the strong green parsely, but the whole dish is improved by it's flavor.
The cream is there too. I like this a lot, it has enough acidity to keep it from going flat after several tastes. The blackberry and cassis flavors are front and center, and the cream smooths it out. If you're curious but not ready to get it, consider asking for this flavor as your free 30ml on your next order of $100.
If you've ever made rice pudding you know the ingredients: rice, milk, sugar, salt, egg (real rice pudding is a custard), butter, and vanilla. Cinnamon is a pretty common additive as are raisins.
This liquid has all those flavors minus raisins, but doesn't come off too thick and custardy. It has the clean milky flavor of rice pudding with rich vanilla and a dash of cinnamon. It tastes rich but somehow still able to be light and all day vapeable. I got this as a sample and I think I like it more than the Indian Rice Pudding (kheer) flavor. I would definitely order this in a full sized bottle.
Well they did it. This juice tastes like how it feels to have just eaten a pink Starburst. And the vapor aroma is like the scent when I first open the wax paper on one of those little waxy candies too. This isn't a bright tart berry flavor, it is a sweet mellow strawberry candy flavor. I typically prefer more tart flavors so this won't be an ADV for me, much like Strawberry Milk Candy. But I really like it and will likely order another 60ml in the coming months.
You know, the one bad thing about The Vape Kitchen is that they set the bar so high that my friends, partner, and I have stopped buying from other vendors. The flavors we once loved have been left behind. Like children that only ate ketchup and chicken fingers and mac n cheese from the box - well our palates have grown up and branched out to the 5 star gourmet flavors of The Vape Kitchen and we just can't go back to the e-liquid equivalent to processed foods
As for Opus 5 all I can say is wow!
Saffron. Almond. Lavender. Tea maybe? The golden sweetness of honey. It's all there. Dialed in at 63 watts with medium airflow. There is no way I can describe this in a manner that can be even close to understood without vaping it yourself.
Thanks to TVK for including this free bottle as a gift with a large order because we officially love this stuff. Will order a 60ml.
OK I know this is supposed to be a macaron (mack uh RON) which is a French style merengue cookie made with nut-meal and having a creamy buttery filling. I get something more like salted caramel macaroon (mack uh ROON) which would be the buttery coconut cookie that Americans are more familiar with - though I know the macaron has become a lot more popular in the US these days.
I'm sure the right flavor notes are here but the buttery caramel is almost completely obfuscating the almond merengue for me. The flavor I get is rich buttery bakery with salted caramel and the almond could be coconut with all this delicious butter flavor. I will try another of TVK's macaron flavors soon because a French macaron is one of my favorite sweet treats... after mint chip ice cream.
Don't get me wrong, this is absolutely delicious, but doesn't taste like a macaron to me. I'd order again, though. To put in context, if you added chocolate ganache this would taste like a Samoa Girl Scout Cookie. Based on that I think you know what I mean when I say this is delicious.
If you've ever had Calpico and you love it: this flavor is definitely for you. And if you haven't but you like tart frozen yogurt: you need to get this flavor as your free 30ml bottle when you order $100 worth. A small sample might not be enough for you to dial it in.
Here's the deal, this liquid has the tart yogurt and sweet citrus flavor that I expected from it. This is not likely easy to pull off in an eliquid, and it isn't easy to dial in on a VV but I was able to do it. I used moderate wattage 58-61 and lots and lots of airflow. Without that I get a bit of a bitterness on the exhale. That's why you might need more than a 5ml sample to get this right.
Note to Oren: I'd love to taste this flavor with a cool note to learn whether duplicating Pinkberry's tart original flavor is possible.
Another reviewer compared this juice to a Strawberry Cream Saver and I think that's the best, most succinct way to describe it. The strawberry candy flavor is there. And the creamy candy flavor is there. The strawberry is mellow and sweet, not tart. I like this liquid but, like the Cream Saver it doesn't quite have the tartness I like to vape in a fruit flavor by itself. I ended up mixing it 50/50 with Mangeaux by The Vape Kitchen and fell in love with the two combined.
I'll order again to mix with other flavors, it's absolutely delightful. I vaped up the whole 30ml already, I didn't even share it with my partner. I want some more to mix with Pico to see if I can get a strawberry yogurt drink flavor....
A true melon flavor with a creamy delightful mouthfeel.
There is a melon called Galia which is a hybrid of cantaloupe and honeydew. I think the patent has finally run out because I'm now finding this same hybrid melon with different names but I'll use Galia for this review. A Galia melon has a sweet floral flavor and is very different from the two melons it has as its mom and dad. Please don't confuse the hybrid flavor with what you'll find in Melon Cream!!
Melon Cream has the two distinct flavors of delicately sweet honeydew combined with the earthy muskiness of cantaloupe. Like having a bite of each from a fruit salad. Add a cool creamy flavor and mouthfeel and you have yourself a decent description of Melon Cream by The Vape Kitchen.
This is really something to pull off in an e-liquid. It's a big flavor and I can't vape it all day but I really appreciate this liquid on a 102 degree Texas afternoon. Would order again, highly recommended.
Oh my goodness. This is so decadent, rich, and delicious. I remember this flavor from years ago but it didn't vape that great in my silly little pen rig. Today in my box mod with VV I'm able to dial it in to a delicious calorie free dessert. And yes, I had some just after breakfast today. Yum. Perfectly balanced, not too sweet, all the right flavor notes are there. Doesn't get any better than this.
This is a very sweet liquid. I like all the different flavors I tasted. I've never had filipino food but I can tell there is a love for enjoying natural earthy flavors if it tastes anything like this juice. A little too sweet for me so I'll use it to enhance other flavors than vape it straight up. Highly recommend if you like sweet and rich eliquids. The rating is based on my taste, there's nothing wrong with this liquid and I still recommend it to others, it's just not quite my style.
Really interesting flavor. The description says this is the base for their mango sticky rice flavor. I enjoyed all the nuances. There's the mango, obviously. But there is a lot more going on. I taste more than just ripe mango, there's some younger mango in there too and I got an herbal quality when I vaped it. I only had a sample and it was a bit much for ADV so I experimented by mixing in some strawberry milk candy and it was a fantastic combination. Vaped it all up. I would buy again to boost more straightforward fruit flavors.
This used to be my favorite fruit flavor 3 years ago. Then I took a break from vaping and am back checking out my old favorites and finding new ones. This flavor used to remind me of a juice drink like a Nantucket Nectar or similar brand that I could occasionally find in Minnesota when I was growing up. The flavor was called Strawberry Guava. It was one of those hard to find things, so tropical and fragrant and sweet. It became something I would seek when I went to new places and I never found anything like it until I moved west and found guava nectar sold in Latin markets.
Anyway, I enjoyed this a lot 3 years ago. My palate has changed and I no longer find the flavor as endearing as before. It comes off like candy more than fruit or juice.
To this day I love Catherine the Grape so VCV is still relevant for me, but not so much this flavor.
This is a vanilla e-liquid. I don't get any custard flavors. I'm not sure why, maybe it's my rig? The flavor is better at high voltage. I don't get any richness to give me a custard flavor - no eggs and the dairy is gently creamy but not rich. The vape texture is really nice, though.
This flavor is accurate to its name, I do taste chocolate cake donut. They even got the mace in there so its really donut instead of plain cake. The coffee is there too. Coffee, not espresso. It's sweet. There's some hersheys syrup kind of thing going on at higher watts. At lower watts the flavor vapes really dry.
This isn't really my kind of flavor but if you like donut or chocolate vapes you'll probably like this a lot.
This flavor took me a while to figure out. It does taste like the description, but it's been cagey and difficult to capture.
At low watts I get something like a twinkie, in a good way. At high watts it's just sweetish yellow cake. When I get the watts just right, and if I don't hit the fire button more than once every 5 minutes: perfection. White cake, sugar syrup, whipped cream, and a subtle fresh fruit flavor. Tasty.
Update: I was able to solve the coil issue - and it was a coil issue, not the juice. I noticed an issue with other flavors not wicking properly after I wrote this review, the issue wasn't limited to this liquid. Updating the rating to 4.5.
Previously: Major coil and cotton gunker though, and too fussy for me. I won't reorder Special Cake but I did have fun trying to figure it out.
|Aged for||1 week|
|Flavor Accuracy||5 /5|
|Cloud Production||5 /5|
|Throat Hit||4 /5|
Update: I got another sample of this and in this second look I really do like this. The throat hit wasn't harsh and the flavor is still fantastic. Updated the rating. Adding this to my 'next order' wishlist.
I've never had taro milk tea at a boba shop. I've eaten taro before but this is very different.
This was a sample in my last TVK order. Overall I'm really enjoying their beverage flavors like milk teas, milk shakes, colas, and of course their root beer float.
I'm not sure about this one. The flavor is excellent!!! Something in the formulation gives a throat hit that I can't handle. For reference: I'm down to 1.5 mg and I only vape max VG liquids. This liquid is low nicotine and max VG yet it hits my throat and makes me cough as if I vaped my best friends preferred eliquid which is 24mg and mostly PG. Yowza!
I'll keep messing around with airflow and voltage to see if I can get it to a place that is comfortable. The flavor is amazing, I haven't had anything like it before so it is worth the effort to make it work for me.
I purchased from The Vapor Chef years ago and I can see now that there are many more flavors, the packaging has been upgraded, and the service is friendly and efficient as ever. And there are generous discounts that are easily found by following their social media posts. They also generously sent a sample of a flavor I hadn't tried before. Cheers.
Unfortunately I had a few issues with my recent order. 1) leakage. There was sticky juice residue on the bottles. They appeared to have been wrapped well so I can't tell you what happened other than something went wrong in the process. 2) The other, and bigger issue is that the grahamberry custard I ordered is delicious but is a much higher nicotine level than I ordered. I literally got scary high suddenly after 4 puffs. I haven't smoked in a long time and it felt like the first time I had a cigarette. It was that intense. Fortunately, like nicotine does, it faded fairly quickly but I don't want to go back to that juice again. shudder
I've no doubt that they would resolve this if I reach out so I won't be too hard on them. Despite that, sending a stronger nic level than ordered is a concerning issue that I want to point out.
Accurately named flavor. I got this as a sample and will order some next time. Vaped this at 29-33 watts, the flavor blend seemed best around 30-31 watts.
