Based on the recommendation by a fellow JDB member, I picked up a sampler of Boom Vang from 2OHM6. Sadly, that was not enough to survive my first encounter with it. So I ordered a 120 of it to try and have enough for full on sampling and a review. The scent of the bottle is a creamy coconut, banana and rum.

The inhale begins with creamy coconut and vanilla blend that is not overpowering or reminiscent of sun tan lotion. I wouldn't call the coconut natural, but more of that coconut flavor in a drink mixer without all the unnecessary sweetness. About midway through the inhale I get a layer of ripened banana that lays deep inside the coconut/vanilla base. At the end of the exhale I am getting little sparks of ripened strawberry on the tip of my tongue. Before I exhale, the strawberry comes in a bit stronger as the other flavors start to fade off. On the exhale the rum comes in to play. Not the overly alcohol taste of a drink, but the natural flavors of the rum itself. Mid exhale the coconut and vanilla build back up in the profile and blend nicely with the rum. After the exhale comes a last glimpse of banana before fading away and leaving a warm rum aftertaste. Occasionally in the exhale, the strawberry will pop on the tip of my tongue giving a bit of a playfulness to their contribution in the mix.

At low wattage settings, the rum is a little lighter in the blend and the strawberries show up much less often. The banana also seems a bit shy. At higher wattage settings the rum is a little more dominant, but the coconut is a bit malformed and almost acidic. Mid range settings work best, giving a great balance to this awesome blend!

For Science! A McRib juice? WTF?!?! The bottle smells bready and of pork.

On the inhale it starts off sweet almost like a ketchup or cheap barbecue sauce. This is followed at the end by an underling pork note that is very low in intensity. On the rest I can taste onion and the sweetness still. The exhale is bready mostly with an underling sweetness and a hint of pork that sometimes has a bit of burnt taste to it. Then immediately on the aftertaste is almost like a McRib air freshener. Occasionally I get some dill pickle in the inhale but its hit or miss.

Higher temps are more cohesive and the air freshener stays away longer. Medium and low increase the quickness of the air freshener taste, but the remainder stays about the same. It was interesting to start, but now I just feel sick and must sterilize my atty. I understand that some places like to have some novelty items on the list, but I just can't see this stuff selling except on curiosity.... It is still better than Bacon ejuice but not a whole lot.

Quey is another strangely devised concoction out of the 2OHM6 kitchen that I thought merited a try. The description is not something I would order (or even imagine on my own) but it did sound intriguing. The scent of the bottle is creamy vanilla with a hint of lime.

On the inhale I immediately get a mild cooling sensation that slowly gives way to creamy vanilla ice cream. At the tail end of the exhale is a nice lime flavor that is a little dulled. Dulled in a manner of speaking sense it is not in your face bright and citrusy, but tamed with a hint of citrus. On the rest before exhale there is a hint of the nuttiness melting into the ice cream. Not so much to give an indication of the exact nut(s) but I feel like maybe its walnut and/or pistachio notes there in the mix. The exhale is more cooling but on a much lower scale with an earthiness to it. The lime, while still in its dulled nature, plays a slightly larger and surprisingly enjoyable role on the exhale. Who would have thought that lime and ice cream would be a good combination? The nut flavor also comes out more sitting as the top note from mid exhale to the end blended with a gooey caramel. I still can not single out the specific nut(s) being used, but I can see that there is a slightly cooked note to them.

At low wattage ranges the lime is a bit more pronounced and the nuts a bit less defined. At high wattage settings, the ice cream effect is hindered and the nuts a little more pronounced, but still mysterious. I find myself flipping between mid range wattage and high wattage occasionally but prefer mid range for the balance. I can agree with another reviewer that the cooling/earthiness is very anise like without the actual anise flavor. Overall I feel like the whole description of Quey can not be fully relayed in words. The profile is unique, classy, mature and extremely enjoyable. I definitely recommend giving this juice a try!

There are few desserts I enjoy, but a good key lime pie is a weakness for me. I picked Cash Advance for this very reason in hopes of replicating that wonderful citrus, tart lime and creamy pie. The scent of the bottle is pie crust followed by an almost lime meringue scent.

The inhale begins with a nice buttery pie crust. Not so much a graham cracker crust, but more of your standard crust with a nice buttery flavor to it. At the end of the inhale you begin to get a sense of creaminess that starts to gain a touch of lime. On the rest before exhale, the lime note gains a slight amount of tartness to it, however the lime feels like it is more of a background note to the creaminess that now has a bit of a meringue flavor to it. The exhale is more creaminess with the lime light in the background without much citrus and no tartness. The creaminess now has a hint of a custardish flavor to it in the middle that blends to more of a meringue at the end. At the end of the exhale the crust returns until it pushes out most of the remaining flavors.

Wattage wise, the juice is pretty neutral across settings. It does lose a fair bit of the creamy nature at higher wattage settings as most juices do. Unfortunately this did not hit the mark for me. The lime was not citrusy, barely tart and always in the background. The pie crust and custard note sometimes would blend to make a bit of a burnt crust flavor for me as well.

I picked up the OG line from Rumblepup as I had heard good things, but never tried them. Isla is a homage to the mixer's father who would make a cocktail of rum, papaya, melon and coconut. The concoction sounded excellent to me although I am always leery of melon in a vape. The bottle smells of rum and papaya.

The inhale is papaya, fresh and juicy, with a spiced rum in the background. It is a wonderful combination of tropical fruit and the spiced aspect of the dark rum. Before I exhale, the profile starts to fade and I can pick out a hint of coconut. The exhale brings a warmth of rum on the roof of my mouth and papaya with only hints of melon that seem to round out the papaya more than make a stand on their own. The fruit again is juicy and fresh and the rum adding spiced notes lighter than the inhale. The coconut lays lightly in the backdrop, sometimes almost imperceptible, but adds an almost creamy texture to the vape. The aftertaste is rum and papaya with a lightly creamy mouthfeel. In fact there is an almost creamy velvety mouthfeel perceptible through most of the vape.

I found that lower temperatures increase the mouthfeel, but they end up reducing the papayas tropical feel as well as dulling the rums intricacies. Mid range wattage brings the best overall balance while maintaining the creamy aspect. High wattage settings seem to lose the coconut and bring out the spices a tad more. This is certainly a drink I would order given the chance.

Estival is a remix of the Tiger's Blood combination with apricot thrown into the mix. I love me a good watermelon juice, but they are hard to find as natural watermelon seems to be a bit of a tough cookie to crack. The scent of the bottle is straight watermelon.

On the inhale there is a sweet strawberry with a general melon flavor. All are very close to realistic and juicy. As I hold before exhale, the melon begins to develop more into a very ripe watermelon that teeters ever so slightly into the watermelon flavor used in bubblegum. There is also a hint of apricot on the rear end. The exhale begins with more of this watermelon although it is less juicy now, there are notes underneath of an almost creamy coconut holding up the bottom end. The coconut is much lighter than the watermelon and adds a tasty backdrop to the flavor. It may even be the creaminess of the coconut that is reducing the juicy factor. About halfway through a nice apricot flavor rides on top of the watermelon. Still not as intense as the watermelon, but more noticeable than the coconut flavor. Again, not quite as juicy as it should be, but does have some lovely notes that make an apricot such a great flavor. The aftertaste is a mixture of watermelon, creamy coconut (a little more intense now) and a touch of apricot.

I found that at low to mid-low wattage the flavors are not as bright, but the almost bubblegum watermelon flavor are completely eradicated. The bubblegum watermelon flavor shows more in the mid to mid-high range but the other flavors have more life. At high wattage the watermelon bends back to more natural, but the coconut lightens more and the apricot starts to weaken. I find myself playing with the wattage throughout the day depending on the end result I feel like at the time. Overall this is a well made juice and I find the use of apricot to be a very enjoyable addition.

A friend sent me a bottle of Kheer to try. Living in the area that I do, real Indian food is not readily available so I have never had the original dish. From what I read it is typically a rice, milk and sugar base with cardamom, saffron, raisins, cashews, pistachios or almonds. It sounds very intriguing and something I want to try when I travel and have the opportunity. The scent from the bottle is cardamom and light vanilla.

The inhale begins with cardamom up front. It has a nice warming and almost citrus note to it. It is joined by a building creaminess that builds itself big in the profile and has an touch of starchiness to it. On the rest before exhale the cream fades off and the cardamom dissipates leaving a nutty flavor that is similar to a blend of pistachio and cashews. On the exhale there is vanilla kissed cream with more cardamom and maybe a touch of saffron. Saffron is hard for me to say for sure as I have minimal experience with it, however it tastes like a semi sweet honey and it is very light. It leaves a nice creamy aftertaste with a hint of almost like a peanut.

Higher wattage hurts the cream a bit while lower wattage seems to hide the nuttiness a bit. This is a savory delightful mixture that I finished 30ml of in one night and instantly ordered a 120. I highly recommend fans of savory vapes or cardamom to give this juice a try. If you find the cardamom to be too much for you, letting it steep for a month will lessen the intensity of the cardamom while allowing the cream to get even thicker. Its marvelous both ways!

Festiva is described as a beignet with fresh strawberries and vanilla almond whipped cream. Not being much of a desert person I had to look up what a beignet was. Apparently they are a fried dough similar to a fritter which would not be my typical go to food, but I have had juices that have changed my mind before. The scent of the bottle is almond, dough and cream.

On the inhale I get a nice slightly sweet strawberry with a light pastry flavor. The pastry is somewhat akin to sweetened dough but does not have much of a fried taste to it. There are also notes of almond and light cream on the top of the inhale. Before I exhale, the strawberry pops up a little more and I can taste vanilla as the almond, dough and cream begin to fade. The exhale is almond and a thicker cream with strawberry lighter in the profile. Absent is the dough or bakery aspect. However the cream is more of a thick heavy cream that I am not very fond of.

At lower levels, the bakery note is completely absent and the cream is even thicker. At higher levels the bakery note is ever so slightly more present and the strawberry is slightly reduced. I tend to stick in the middle range for the balance between the two. The juice is all very well done and the flavors are very natural, unfortunately I just am not a fan of the thicker cream note and wish there was more bakery to it.

So I picked Water Cup because its getting warmer and fruity becomes more appealing to me during the season. The scent of the bottle is akin to Hawaiian Punch.

The inhale is fruit punch that is a blend of fruits that are difficult to pick out. I can definitely taste pineapple slightly over the other fruit as well as what I believe is blueberry in the background. As it rests on my tongue there is a bit more of a strawberry flavor that comes forward. The exhale is more pineapple with strawberry with the fruit punch base.

The overall vape is similar to Hawaiian Punch with a touch more pineapple and strawberry. Its also sweet without being that syrupy overwhelming sugary flavor of Hawaiian Punch. It is more of an adult and more balanced version of the drink. For something as simple as a fruit punch, I find myself enjoying this much more than I thought I would. This will definitely be a future reorder. I enjoyed it most at mid range wattage settings. High thinned out the fruit and low was more muddled.

I picked up this flavor completely on a whim. I wanted to try some commercial lemonade juices and the combination of pear and blueberry mixed in sounded quite good. The scent of the bottle is lemonade and some pear in the backdrop.

The inhale is a wonderful lemonade made with real lemons that has a nice tartness to it. Sweetened to the right level without that artificial sweetener flavor and hints of the cactus flavor intermingling on the top notes of the lemonade. Before I exhale the tartness rolls around on my tongue. The exhale brings the cactus more forward without going over the top and tasting like aloe like it can. I can taste the darkness of the blueberry on the back of my tongue while the pear builds up a little adding an earthiness to the flavor. The whole thing is wonderfully done and definitely going to be at the top of my summer rotation.

The juice works well across wattage settings. At the low end it feels a touch juicier than higher settings. At the high end, the pear and blueberry seem to weaken a touch. I stick in the middle for the best overall balance.

First, I can not make any commentary on the original Heisenbird formula as I did not have the chance to try it. So this is just a simple review of the new formulation without comparison to the original. The bottle smells like the darker notes of raspberry with a tangy-like note which matches the description of blue raspberry with a sour kick.

The inhale brings in a beautiful blue raspberry flavor that is lightly sweet. Blue raspberry is an artificial flavor based off of the white bark raspberry which I have never tried, so I can not compare. However, as a child, I loved blue raspberry slush drinks and this brings me back. The flavor is not overpowering, but of good strength. There is also an undertone of sour/tang to the inhale that is well accepted to this vapor. The tartness and brightness of the flavor fade off of the tongue during my rest period before exhale. The exhale is more of the darker notes of the blue raspberry with a hint of the blue raspberry slush syrup. Not a sugar rush syrup, but more of the thick flavor concentrate type of flavor you would find in your slush. All the while having that nice sour flavor that builds up at the end of the exhale. After the exhale, your mouth feels like it is coated in that yummy goodness just as if you finished a big ol' slush.

I prefer it at low and medium range wattage settings, but it works well at higher wattage settings as well. I find that higher wattage will bring out the sweetness just a little more and raise the syrup note just a hair. However you vape it, this is a real winner. Tart and tangy, sweet without being obnoxious and nostalgic for those of us who have fond memories of the trips to the local gas station for that tasty concoction.

So I have grown fond of some intense menthol vapes lately and added Melonlyptus to my order. Melons, mint and eucalyptus sounded like a nice cooling combination that I was a little excited about. The bottle smelled strongly of eucalyptus.

The inhale is a strong cooling sensation and eucalyptus. Like a halls on steroids. Before you exhale the cooling slowly starts to drift. The exhale is more eucalyptus with mild notes of mint and light watermelon in the background. Sometimes you can taste honeydew and sometimes you can taste cantaloupe but the most noticeable melon is watermelon. The cooling sensation lingers for a while after the exhale.

When I first got the bottle, I gave it a shot to see how intense it was. Man it was so strong it burned my throat. I gave it two weeks and it was still really intense but starting to get enjoyable. As time goes by, the eucalyptus and cooling sensations dissipate. At 6 months the eucalyptus is fairly mild and the cooling in on the low end as well. The juice worked well across all wattage settings when trying it with only mild intensity changes.

I picked GWFF as a flavor because I like ginger. To me that yummy flavor and spice is one of the best treats mother nature has to offer. The scent of the bottle is peach and ginger with a hint of pineapple.

On the inhale there is a nice peach flavor that lacks some of the brightness of a real peach. At the end of the exhale begins a touch of sweetness that I attribute to an unknown berry flavor. Before I exhale a little pineapple tang comes out on my tongue. The exhale is a light pear with ginger that picks up a little of that spiced kick for a moment with faint glimpses of pineapple in the background. The pear and ginger stay faintly on the tongue for a moment after the exhale.

On lower wattage settings the pineapple seems to suffer in its mild intensity and the somewhat berry sweetness becomes generic. At high wattage settings the pear seems to get decimated into nothingness, so I would say mid-range wattage is the best. The juice was its best at 1 week to about a month and a half. It became more muddled as time went on further and the ginger kick disappeared altogether just past 2 months. While not a "refined" juice as the flavors kind of mix together and make things difficult to pick out, I found myself enjoying the juice for the fruitiness and the ginger bite while it lasted.

The much loved Watermelon Crack is described as a jolly rancher watermelon and mint/menthol mixture. The bottle smells of hard candy, watermelon and mint.

On the inhale you quickly get the mint/menthol blast. As the juice ages this intensity dies down. Halfway through the inhale it is joined by a hard candy flavor. Before you exhale you are left with mostly hard candy flavor. The exhale starts with a juicy watermelon that gets a tinge of rind and then becomes candy like. It is joined by more hard candy flavor and then mint followed by cooling. The aftertaste is hard candy and cooling menthol.

Through the wattage ranges, the only real difference is the watermelon intensity and to a small degree the mint. Lower wattage is lightest and high wattage is more intense. Personally I prefer the idea of realistic watermelon and menthol, but this is an enjoyable substitute.

Dad's Milk is listed on the website as a custard base with tropical fruits but labeled as a tropical milkshake on the bottle. The bottle smells of kiwi, mango and cream.

On the inhale it starts with a nice creamy mixture followed by a ripe bosc pear. At the end of the inhale there are light citrus notes and hints of pineapple. Before I exhale, a fairly authentic mango arrives on the scene that is only lacking a touch of sweetness and juiciness to be perfect. The exhale is banana and creaminess with the other fruits playing lightly in and out of the background. Occasionally there are also notes of kiwi and strawberry whispering around. The main aftertaste is mango with light pineapple.

This does better at low and mid wattage settings for me. Higher wattage will hurt the creaminess and accentuate some of the citrus and brightness of the fruits while muddling the other notes. Over a long period of time the fruits begin to lose the potency they have so I would recommend the juice be used within 3-4 months of bottling for best results.

Based off a Mexican dessert drink of rice milk, vanilla and cinnamon, Horchata-tas has a big fan base and I was looking forward to the flavor. The bottle smells of a pastry with a hint of earthy cinnamon.

On the inhale I get a mild sweetness akin to what I would find in rice milk. This is shortly followed by a light bread like flavor that reminds me a bit of pancakes. Before I exhale there is an almost buttery tasting bread note. The exhale brings an earthy dark cinnamon note that sometimes reminds me a bit of dark tea. This is surrounded by an unsweetened rice cream that is a bit out in front of the cinnamon notes. This lingers on the tongue in an almost thick feeling on the tongue for quite a while.

On lower wattage settings and medium wattage settings there is not much of a difference. The higher wattage settings bring a little more of the dark cinnamon notes out but the cream is still the main note. I personally did not enjoy this very much. I tested it over time from the recommended steep time until now. At times I felt I was vaping an almost dark tea and milk/water flavor.

After having Prairie and knowing that this is simply a mentholated version I have low expectations. The scent of the bottle is somewhat like the cooling nature of a halls without the eucalyptus/mentholatum note and a nuttiness.

The inhale is mostly cooling sensation with a slight nuttiness beneath it. Before the exhale is more cooling but this time with a light sweetness. The exhale is a coolness with tobacco mixed in and the mild sweetness of the banana. Halfway through the peanut makes a light showing in the background. The coolness and tobacco linger for a while after the exhale.

This is a bit different than its prairie counterpart due to the way the axiom crystals take over portions of the vape and accent the banana sweetness a little. Again mid to high wattage settings work best as lower settings make the coolness pretty much the focus of the whole vape.

Banana, peanut butter and tobacco really doesn't sound my type, however there have just been way to many good things said about the Bigglesworth line for me to pass this up. The scent of the bottle is nutty.

On the inhale I get a slight nuttiness and a mild sweetness with no real defined flavor of specific elements. Before the exhale there is a small dose of banana and then a slight coolness on my tongue. The exhale begins with an earthy blend of tobacco with a slight sweetness and an undertone of peanut. As the exhale continues the peanut becomes a bit more noticeable, but still remains under the slightly sweet tobacco flavoring while the light cooling sensation comes back. After the exhale the tobacco starts to drift away and there is an inkling of a peanut butter like flavor and then there is mild sweetness with a touch of thickness to it.

Another blend that seems to do better at the mid and high range settings. I personally do not get a lot of banana which is disappointing as it would be my favorite of the 3 flavors. Also the peanut butter isn't quite like the peanut butter I am used to and mainly comes across as just plain peanut for me.

Almond cake with a hint of apricot jam, something of a savory type dessert combination that I ultimately had to give a try. The scent from the bottle is of a dense almond cake.

The inhale brings about a smooth and rich almond cake flavor that seems to have slight tinges of something a bit citrusy with a touch of tang to it. Before I exhale, the flavors all slowly disappear except for the almond which lingers the longest. The exhale is that of apricot marmalade (slightly sweet with citrus notes) to begin with, but is quickly minimized by more of the almond and cake that gets a touch of bitter notes here and there. The almond and cake flavors finally push out the remaining apricot marmalade notes about midway through the exhale. The almond and some sweetness lingers on for a while after the exhale.

I find that the mid to high range wattage settings work the best as the lower settings dull a lot of the intricacies in the mix. I love the tang and citrus of the apricot marmalade mixture. Honestly I wish there was more of it throughout the vape or even as its own vape.
