I was a bit surprised with Berry Blast (now known as Cryptic Blast) as it is such a radical departure from what you'd expect in a mixed berry juice. While it's not necessarily a bad flavor, but it does seem to strive so hard to be different you can't help but yearn for something a bit for familiar to your palate.

With this juice Evo takes a complete U-turn from a traditional berry flavor profile and instead of focusing on a sweet side of things, they indulge more in a darker, more complex, tart, semi-sweet and mildly sour taste with this one. You start with a blend of berries that stays consistent start to finish. You don't get notes of different fruits during the vape, just a straightforward vague berry taste. I guess Cryptic Blast is a fitting name as you taste berries but can't really distinguish any single flavor within it.

On the exhale you start to taste a more complicated flavor profile intertwined with the berries. More of a dark, tart style of flavor begins to emerge and at the very finish a slight rough sour note wraps it up.

It does start very mellow and smooth but quickly diverts into a different expirience than you'd typically expect in a flavor like this. Again, it's not a terrible flavor, but not exactly a great one either.

In the end it reminds me a bit like wine, and mind you I'm not really a wine person. You get some pleasant notes, some tart flavors, semi-sweet notes, a dash of sour and bitter. It creates a really interesting, complex web of flavors but not something I can necessarily indulge in that often. Especially with that slight sour note at the end.

While I applaud Evo for making something totally different here, for me this one will be there simply when I need a brief break from my main flavors.

Halo tobacco flavors simply do not disappoint. With Timber you get a smooth blend of mellow, dry tobacco with a nice combination of roasted hazelnuts. It's not a rich, overpowering type flavor but a nice well rounded flavor you can enjoy all day.

If you enjoy tobacco type flavors this is definitely worth a try. Excellent matching of flavors and the end result is a well crafted vape that will please any tobacco connoisseur. I'm not even a big fan of nuts, or hazelnuts even and yet this flavor comes together beautifully for a pleasing vape that is both mellow and satisfying.

I'm typically a nic salt guy, but I've been craving that full bodied, throat hit on the exhale. I gave this a try in freebase 18 mg form and it hits very well. It definitely scratches that itch that nic salts sometimes can't fulfill - a nice strong throat hit. I can usually get that throat hit in salts, but only 50 mg which is a bit much for me as an all day vape.

Overall, Timber is a excellent and unique offering; the roasted nut flavor compliments the tobacco flavor very nicely. If you love tobacco, chances are you'll like this. If you enjoy vaping strawberry milkshake type flavors, this might not be your thing.

Witch Doctor is definitely a good vape for tobacco lovers. However, while it is a good liquid, it falls just short of what I'd consider great. It is a very well balanced and not too sweet. There are nice chocolatey notes during the exhale as well. It is very smooth and mellow as well.

The initial taste of tobacco to me slightly resembles that of a pipe tobacco. It's not terrible, but not the classic tobacco flavor I was hoping for. In the end it is a unique taste but the tobacco side of it wasn't what I'd typically enjoy.

Luckily the tobacco flavor quickly gives way to a smooth, slightly sweet chocolate flavor and that gives it a nice finish. While the initial bite of tobacco isn't perfect, I have to say it does have a really nice finish where it just all blends together nicely and you have this sweet, savory taste at the end.

While the tobacco aspect of it wasn't my favorite the sweet notes at the end really made up for it, making for a nice flavor. Definitely close to being a great flavor, but still good nonetheless.

Torque 56 was sort of a holy grail for me. I had seen this juice mentioned countless times over the years as a great tobacco flavor and I knew I just had to try it. I love tobacco flavors but unfortunately a lot of them don't nail the flavor quite as much as you would like.

I finally got around to giving Torque 56 a try and was impressed by it and it's familiar flavor (I'll get to that part in a bit). It's a very smooth and mellow tobacco blend, but it does have a little kick to it. I don't think there's anything out there that truly captures all the nuances of smoking and actual cigarette, but this juice does a pretty decent job, all while having its own unique flavor. Even my wife, who still smokes (although I'm trying to change that) was impressed with it. She said "it tastes just like a cigarette".

At first you get an earthy, woodsy tobacco type flavor but it gives way to a mellow smoothness with some notes of smoky, slightly sweet maple. I was hoping for more of a throat hit but alas the 20 mg nic salts didn't pack as much of a punch as I hoped. In the future I might pick up a bottle of 50 mg salts for when I need those quick hits of nicotine, like at work and then a bottle of 20 or 35 mg for casual all day vaping.

Overall, Torque is really good stuff. It's a unique flavor all its own that comes together and somehow resembles tobacco. Again, I don't think anything out there can really emulate a combustible cigarette but it does do an admirable job of capturing some of that feeling in a vape and I would definitely recommend it as a "craving killer" for those who just quit cigarettes.

Interestingly, I actually tried Torque before unknowingly. I used the Vuse Alto briefly after quitting smoking and absolutely loved the original flavor pods. I stopped using the Alto but still craved that original flavor they had, so I did some research online. Little did I know they used Torque 56 for their original flavor. I finally went ahead and ordered some and confirmed it...exactly the same stuff.

I can understand why a lot of people who vape gravitate to sweet or fruity flavors, it's hard to recreate that authentic tobacco flavor. Torque may not totally replicate that cigarette flavor but it's decent enough to satisfy my tobacco craving for sure.

As a former menthol smoker, finding a good menthol vape has been challenging. A lot of juices I tried attempted to pull off a tobacco/menthol taste and have failed miserably. Subzero cuts right to the chase...it's a straight up icy cold menthol blast with no surprises. There's no tobacco, or unnecessary sweetness, or any other surprises. Just a cool, refreshing menthol. Nothing more, nothing less.

A quick whiff from the bottle confirms it. Yup, it's definitely menthol. A pretty potent smelling one at that. Upon the first inhale you are greeted with a pretty strong blast of icy fresh menthol. I taste a predominant blend of spearmint but there's some light notes of peppermint detected and just a touch of sweetness. Make no mistake, this is a pretty intense menthol blend and the coolness definitely lingers on the exhale, leaving your mouth fresh and cool.

This is also a wonderful juice for mixing, too. A few drops blended with another flavor gives it a nice coolness you can customize to your liking. I would have liked a bit more of a peppermint kick, but Halo has a separate blend called Kringle's Curse if you after more of a peppermint flavor.

However, Subzero is still a great choice if you want an icy cold menthol vape.

Anyone on a quest for new flavors or companies to try at one point or another will undoubtedly come across Halo. After reading lots of praise for them over the years I decided to finally give them a shot. Lately I've been craving tobacco type flavors so the closest thing I got my hands on was Tribeca.

At first puff the stuff is amazing. Lush aroma straight out of the bottle, complex flavor profile that loosely resembles tobacco, yet is unlike any traditional tobacco you've ever had. On the inhale you get a deep tobacco type flavor that gives way to subtle rich notes of sweetness - something along the lines of vanilla, caramel all wrapped up in an earthy tobacco backdrop.

It's definitely worth a vape for anyone who hasn't tried it yet. However, even though it only came across as mildly sweet it is a very rich flavor. While I loved it immediately and vaped it exclusively for about a week, the flavor became a bit rich and overpowering for me. It's a great flavor, don't get me wrong but as an ADV it is just doesn't have that simple, mellow flavor you enjoy all day. It's very rich and bold and just something I enjoy every so often.

It is quite mellow and smooth mixed with some menthol, but by itself it's more of an indulgent vape one might enjoy on a less frequent basis.
