I have to admit that my intrigue at a Pumpkin Slevin was somewhat offset by the worry that it would just be Slevin with the apple substituted out for pumpkin. I'm happy to report that my unfounded worries could not have been more wrong.
Pumpkin Slevin is to Slevin like pumpkin pie is to apple pie. While both being delicious and both having similar names, they are definitely different treats to enjoy. Rather than take the development of a Pumpkin Slevin for granted, they seem to have carefully rebalanced all of the complimentary flavors to better accommodate the addition of pumpkin to the mix. Most noticeable is the stronger spice flavor throughout the juice.
The most important part of this juice is to be patient, the longer you let it steep the better you'll enjoy it as the flavors smooth out and seem to blend better over time.
